Additionally, children are taught that the letter W is silent when it precedes R, as in “write” and “wrist.” The resource includes five colourful worksheets and their black-and-white counterparts, each designed to help children recognize and practice these blends. Each page targets specific blends: Page 1 covers “br” and “cr” Page 2 focuses on “dr” and “fr” Page 3 highlights “gr” and “wr” Page 4 addresses “pr” and “tr” The final page serves as an assessment, combining blends from the previous pages (“br,” “fr,” “tr,” and “gr”). Children are tasked with writing the words under their corresponding pictures.
